The 250,000 sq. ft middle/high school is located on 109 acres. There are carefully groomed athletic facilities and a well maintained enviro. science research area which includes a pond, a greenhouse, an observatory, and many areas for outdoor eco. study. We are currently in the process of implementing a district-wide tech plan that will ensure our students and teachers have access to the latest in computer technology., The Quabbin Regional School District serves five central Massachusetts communities: Barre, Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree, and Oakham. The district was formed as a regional district servicing grades 7-12 in 1965. It was later expanded by vote of all five towns to take jurisdiction of all school age children in grades K-12 effective July 1, 1985.
