Gilford School District is hiring a dependable Groundskeeper to join our facilities team. This daytime role maintains school grounds, supports athletic fields, and ensures safe, welcoming outdoor spaces for students and staff.

Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work, are detail-oriented, and can operate groundskeeping equipment safely. The position is full-time and in-person at Gilford, NH.

Qualifications

• Previous groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Reliable and able to work independently as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, athletic fields, walkways, and landscaped areas to keep them safe and attractive.
• Mow, trim, edge, rake and perform seasonal lawn care.
• Maintain trees, shrubs, and flower beds with planting, pruning, weeding and mulching as needed.
• Remove leaves, branches, litter, and debris from grounds and outdoor areas.
• Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
• Inspect grounds and equipment and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Assist with setup, maintenance, and cleanup of athletic fields for events.
• Perform minor grounds-related repairs and organize tools and supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and cooperate with other facilities staff.
