Job summary

Agua Fria Union High School District is seeking a General Maintenance/Grounds Worker at Canyon View High School. The role is a full-time position (FTE: 1.0) with a starting wage of $20.75 per hour, non-exempt under the Classified compensation guide.

Work hours are 8 per day across a 261-day calendar. The position involves maintenance, groundskeeping, irrigation installation, and safe operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Valid Arizona driver license preferred.
• Must have exemplary driving record with no more than 8 points in 24 months.
• Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Desire three years' maintenance/grounds experience.
• Able to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods.
• Must be proficient with hand and power tools and grounds equipment.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and grounds work and operates related equipment.
• Maintains records of inspections and maintenance activity.
• Installs and maintains irrigation systems and grounds equipment.
• Mows, trims, fertilizes, and waters athletic fields and grounds.
• Cleans restrooms, parking lots, and campus grounds.
• Adheres to safety rules and OSHA requirements.
