The School District of Pickens County is seeking a Grounds Crew Leader for the Maintenance & Operational Services department in Pickens, SC. The role supports district properties with safe, efficient grounds maintenance and related trades assistance.

Responsibilities include grass and shrub maintenance, weed control, equipment transport, and readiness for emergency events. A CDL and background check are required; 230 days per year, 8 hours daily.

Qualificações

• Related 2-year Tech Degree, or 60 semester hours of college coursework, or Silver Level WorkKeys, or WIN Readiness Assessment at Silver Level.
• Grounds crew responsibilities require safety-conscious operations and basic grounds maintenance skills.

Responsabilidades

• Work safely and efficiently on district properties with safety of students and staff as the priority.
• Plans, trims, and maintains grass, shrubbery and trees.
• Sprays weed control chemicals and pesticides after appropriate training with attention given to safety of employees and students.
• Transports equipment and furnishings throughout the district and maintains proper inventory of supplies and equipment to accomplish jobs and tasks.
• Assists other trades in areas such as grounds equipment maintenance and installs plumbing and electrical lines as required.
• Remains available for emergency or unplanned events that may transpire during the course of a school year.
• Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job responsibilities.
• Participates in staff development programs.
• Must be willing to obtain a CDL
• Performs other duties as directed.
