Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Four years of work experience in grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the SchoolDude work order system efficiently, ensuring work completion and proper closure of work orders.
• Collaborate with outside vendors, engineers, contractors, and consultants on district grounds projects.
• Provide excellent customer service to create a safe and comfortable environment for SCCPSS customers to study, teach, and learn.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify issues such as erosion, flooding, and hazardous trees.
• Maintain inventory control of all tools required for grounds maintenance, ensuring they are clean, sharpened, in working order, and stored safely.
• Keep work areas free of hazards and debris, preparing areas by removing hazardous objects and making on-site preparations such as grading, leveling, and debris removal.
• Use safety equipment properly to prevent injury or death.
• Identify, estimate, and prioritize trade-related improvements for district properties.
