Forest Hills Public School District Northern High in Grand Rapids, Michigan is seeking a 5 Hour HS Custodial/Grounds employee. The role reports to the Custodial Supervisor and starts at $16.19 per hour, with a schedule of 5 hours per day, 5 days per week.

The employee will maintain buildings and grounds, assist with events, perform landscaping tasks, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for students and the community.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior landscape management experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong English written and spoken communication skills are required.
• Ability to learn new procedures, equipment and techniques.
• Ability to operate computers, email, and work order software.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with Lead Grounds and Head Custodians to prepare for events.
• Maintain turf and grounds to high standards.
• Adjust shifts for weather-related issues.
• Maintain positive relations with students, staff, and community.
• Complete daily tasks and respond to school staff and stakeholders.
• Perform grounds care including turf maintenance, mowing, weeding, pruning, field lining, and fertilizing.
