McHenry Middle School in Illinois seeks a Food Service staff member to assist in daily meal preparation and service under the Director of Food Service. This 4-hour daily role operates across 174 days, starting ASAP, with 16.50 USD per hour.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and food sanitation certification; strong reading, writing, and math skills; and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Responsibilities

• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
• Read, write, follow recipes and perform simple math using a PC.
• Prepare daily food menu and maintain inventory, production records and daily sheets.
• Communicate respectfully with staff, children and coworkers as part of a team.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per HACCP standards and state/local health rules.
