Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a Substitute Food Service Worker for Eastport S Manor Jr/Sr HS in New York. Flexible, on-call shifts Monday–Friday with no nights or weekends, offering a stable daytime schedule and summers off. Training is provided, and you’ll help serve nutritious meals to students and staff.

Responsibilities include food prep, serving, and maintaining safety standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a positive, customer-focused service style in a school

Qualifications

• Education: Must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional food service preferred but not required.
• Certifications: ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving areas and kitchen equipment.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive and welcoming mealtime atmosphere.
• Support the team and jump in wherever needed.
