Job summary

Primrose School of Bedford is seeking a Food Service Teacher to prepare delicious, nutritious meals that fuel children as they explore, play and learn. You will help maintain a safe, healthy kitchen and collaborate with the Director and staff to support our early childhood education mission.

You will encourage healthy eating, monitor allergies, ensure no nuts are present in foods, follow the daily menu, and assist with ordering supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
• Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
• Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products or food items that have been processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
• Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
• Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
