Job summary

BronxWorks is hiring a Financial Educator to support the integration of financial education in public schools within the Bronx. The role involves delivering workshops to students and families, coordinating with district staff, and promoting financial literacy resources.

Responsibilities include data collection, scheduling, and collaborating with teachers and community partners to reach diverse learners. In-person work schedule is Monday through Friday with additional evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience with a preferred background in finance, financial education, counseling/coaching, education or social or youth service delivery, or
• Four (4) to eight (8) years of full-time work experience in financial education, counseling/coaching, education or social or youth service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support financial education programs in public schools by engaging district staff, schools, teachers and coordinators.
• Lead delivery of workshops for students and families using DCWP content and curriculum.
• Collect and enter workshop participant data and outcomes in the designated database.
• Promote the Financial Education Resource Hub to support classroom and community learning.
• Assist with scheduling, recruitment, and promotion of workshops within assigned districts and schools.
