Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a Financial Educator to support district and school implementation of financial education and consumer protection programming in the Bronx. You will work with staff to deliver lessons, workshops, and counseling to students, families, and community members in person at schools and related sites.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in financial education or related fields, with strong skills in teaching, planning, and engaging diverse learners.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience with a preferred background in finance, financial education, counseling/coaching, education or social or youth service delivery, or
• Four (4) to eight (8) years of full-time work experience in financial education, counseling/coaching, education or social or youth service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support financial and consumer protection education programming in districts and schools.
• Lead workshops with students and families using DCWP materials.
• Collect and enter workshop participant data into DCWP databases.
• Promote the Financial Education Resource Hub and assist in resource vetting.
• Provide free one-on-one financial counseling and coaching sessions.
• Coordinate scheduling and delivery of workshops and counseling sessions.
