Legacy Traditional Schools in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee planning, maintenance, cleanliness, and alteration of the campus and facilities.

You will coordinate maintenance, supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate bids, and liaise with utilities to support a safe, conducive learning environment. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management.
  • Experience supervising staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities and evaluate maintenance, cleanliness and space use.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs; oversee contractors.
  • Supervise custodians and landscapers.
  • Maintain equipment via preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare, monitor and implement CapEx and operating budgets.
  • Issue RFPs and competitively bid projects.
  • Liaise with public utilities, environmental and energy agencies.
  • Support safety and compliance across campus.

We shine the brightest when we raise our hands and rise to the challenge of changing lives through education, cultivating bright curious minds, achieving award-winning results, upholding our values, and engaging positively with our students, parents and communities.Position OverviewThis position is primarily responsible for coordinating and directing the planning, maintenance, cleanliness and alteration of the campus and associated facilities by performing the following duties.Essential Duties & AccountabilitiesInspects facilities and evaluates maintenance, cleanliness and use of space.Coordinates all required maintenance and repairs; including overseeing work by contractors.Supervises and performance manages custodians and landscapers.Maintains equipment through preventative maintenance.Prepares, monitors and implements Cap X Assett budget and Operational budget.Competitively bids out required projects using RFPs.Further Duties & AccountabilitiesActs as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.Other duties may be assigned.CompetenciesPositively interact with all staff.Create a safe environment that is conducive to learning.Good communication skills with Principal, staff, students, coworkers, administration and parents.Ability to collaborate with the Principal, teachers and school staff.Ability to maintain a professional appearance.RequirementsHigh School Diploma requiredTertiary qualifications in Facility Management preferred.Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Facility ManagerCalling bids using RFPsPreparing, submitting and monitoring budgetsSupervised contractorsImplemented and performed self and outsourced preventative maintenanceMinimum 2 years supervisory experienceHiring and firing staffPerformance managing staffMinimum 2 years practical experience in self performing repair workArizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardMust possess strong communication and organizational skills.Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Work Environment and Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
