Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools in Arizona is seeking a dedicated teacher to implement engaging instructional activities and support student growth. You will identify resources, guide primary students, and collaborate with peers to foster a positive learning environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and SEI Endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months in AZ). You will communicate with families, maintain records, and complete background checks as part of the hire.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment in AZ only.

Responsibilities

  • Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide students through activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth for primary school success.
  • Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
  • Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals regularly.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
  • Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
  • Ensure student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
  • Participate in training and staff meetings.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines and coordinating meetings.
  • Evaluate each student’s learning capabilities and celebrate student accomplishments.
  • Encourage students to uphold our values and model mature behavior and good character in the classroom and campus.
  • Be active on campus and travel to other campuses as required.
  • Participate in events outside normal hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Be active in the role when light lifting, sitting, standing, moving throughout the campus and traveling to other campuses as required.
  • Participate in events outside of normal hours.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid SEI Endorsement/Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment in AZ only.
  • The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A current teaching certificate from within the state position is located.
