Job summary

Dansville Central School District is seeking a dependable Cleaner to join our facilities team. Typical hours are 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with a starting hourly wage between $16.00 and $17.00 based on experience.

This role involves routine cleaning tasks under general supervision, following established routines. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders as needed, with opportunities to contribute to a clean and safe school environment.

Qualifications

• None are required but some experience in building cleaning work is desirable.
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Dusts chairs, tables, desks and other furniture.
• Washes windows, walls, woodwork, water closets, tubs and bowls.
• Sweeps, vacuums carpets, mops and washes floors.
• May shampoo carpets.
• Gathers and disposes of refuse.
• Cleans and polishes furniture and building hardware.
• May launder residents' clothing; and May launder facility-owned linens.
• May shovel snow at door entrances and shovel sidewalks.
