Job summary

WorkSource Heart of Georgia seeks a School Maintenance Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance, repairs, and improvements across school buildings, grounds, and equipment.

You will handle preventive maintenance, order materials, and use CMMS for cost tracking. The role covers HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Locksmith, Carpentry tasks and requires reliability and on-call availability 24/7.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and be EPA certified.
• Knowledge of trades systems and safe use of power and hand tools.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7, 260 days a year, for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Work in one or more trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, Locksmith) per department needs.
• Plan, lay out, and order materials for maintenance projects.
• Document time, materials, and equipment costs using CMMS.
• Must be regularly and reliably at work and able to work outside of normal hours.
