Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to complete basic facilities service training and certification within probationary period.
• Ability to perform custodial work.
• Ability to operate floor cleaning machines and heavy labor-saving devices.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Basic computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas such as cafeteria, restrooms, offices, gym, halls and outdoors according to custodial standards.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Sweep, mop, wax floors and clean surfaces including walls.
• Move and transport school furniture as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and maintain fixtures.
• Dust and clean furniture and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety rules and proper time/material recording.
• Support training and review current developments related to job responsibilities.
