Job summary

Savannah R-III School District is seeking a full-time custodian to maintain cleanliness at the High School. The role runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with responsibilities including cleaning classrooms and bathrooms, moving supplies, and assisting with set up for activities.

The custodian will also handle floor care (stripping, waxing, buffing, mopping), secure the building, and support repairs of facilities and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of classrooms and bathrooms.
• Lift and move supplies and equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of floor care, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and mopping.
• Ensure the security of classrooms and the assigned building.
• Assist with set up and tear down for extracurricular activities.
• Assist with repairs of school buildings and equipment, and move furniture and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the head custodian and administrator.
