Job summary

Regis High School seeks a Facilities Tradesperson for full-time, hourly, non-exempt work, reporting to the Director of Facilities and Operations. The role involves rotating shifts (6:00 am–2:30 pm and 1:30 pm–10:00 pm) for two weeks at a time, with possible on-call, evenings or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include general maintenance across carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related tasks, plus supporting utility and emergency systems and supervising contracted staff.

Qualifications

• 2 years of progressive experience in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of standard methods, practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in building maintenance – HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in areas assigned by the DFO in accordance with codes and regulations (carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, furniture repair, flooring, etc.).
• Assist the DFO in maintaining utility and emergency systems (electricity, heat, plumbing, A/C, fire alarm).
• Demonstrate commitment to improving facility operations and service levels.
• Execute maintenance requests via the school’s online help desk and resolve tickets promptly.
• Support maintenance staff for events, deliveries, vendor escorts, etc.
• Supervise and schedule contracted building staff
• Place and track orders for cleaning supplies
• Respond to facility emergencies on a 24-hour basis
• Other duties as assigned by the DFO.
