Job summary

Cockton Hill Infants' School is seeking a part-time caretaker to support the maintenance, safety and security of the school building. The role is a one-year temporary contract, 20 hours per week, Mon-Fri with daily hours negotiable between the Head Teacher and the chosen candidate.

The successful applicant will join a hardworking team, be friendly and motivated, and play a key part in safeguarding pupils, staff and visitors while overseeing premises operations and ensuring a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to converse with customers in accurate spoken English.
• Experience in safeguarding and promoting welfare of children is preferred.
• A DBS disclosure will be required if successful.

Responsibilities

• Premises Management: oversee day-to-day running, cleanliness, safety and functionality.
• Security: open/close site, perform site checks, maintain building security.
