Job summary

Lighthouse Community Public Schools is seeking an Operations Manager (26-27SY) in Oakland to run school facilities, safety, and operations. You will supervise custodial staff, coordinate facility projects, and act as point of contact for vendors and campus events, ensuring a safe, well-maintained learning environment.

Ideal candidates will bring strong project and team management, Spanish bilingual skills, and a passion for social justice in education.

Qualifications

• A.A. or equivalent required; B.A./B.S. preferred.
• Experience managing staff and facilities in an educational setting is desirable.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Own LCPS school facilities and oversee day-to-day upkeep.
• Coordinate long-term facility improvements with Director of Operations.
• Supervise custodial staff and contracts; ensure safety and compliance.
• Lead event planning and campus safety initiatives.
• Oversee front office operations and vendor relationships.
• Communicate with staff, families, and external stakeholders.
