Job summary

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking an experienced facilities professional to supervise custodial and grounds maintenance across district campuses. The role focuses on clean, safe learning environments, staff training, SOP adherence, and efficient work-order management to support 110,000+ students and families.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED and 4 years of building maintenance experience with a valid Class D Driver's License.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, performs and supervises general custodial and grounds maintenance of district schools and other facilities.
• Supervises assigned personnel including training, evaluating and disciplining.
• Meets with principals and staff to plan and implement maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Maintains Custodial and Grounds SOPs and work schedules.
• Maintains efficient work order system and supervises timely completion of work orders.
• Inspects buildings and grounds and reports unsafe conditions and emergencies to appropriate administrators.
