Job summary

HES Facilities Management is seeking a General Maintenance worker for the Baton Rouge school campus. The role covers preventive maintenance, routine repairs, energy monitoring, and timely completion of work orders to keep facilities safe and efficient. Weekend shifts for events may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Willingness to work weekends for events as needed.

Responsibilities

• The General Maintenance worker is responsible for the overall maintenance of the School building property.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspection and cleaning.
• Perform routine repairs.
• Be able to work on special events on weekends as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on buildings and facilities.
• Assist in inspecting and or monitoring energy management systems and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility are at appropriate conditions.
• Completing work orders with written response on how the request was resolved.
• Inspection of buildings, equipment, and systems periodically to identify any issues.
• Performs general maintenance tasks, as assigned.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
