Job summary

HES Facilities is seeking a General Maintenance worker in Baton Rouge, LA to maintain school building properties and support facility operations. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and energy management tasks to ensure safe, functional environments for students and staff.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, completing work orders, and performing repairs on systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including inspection and cleaning.
• Perform routine repairs.
• Be able to work on special events on weekends as necessary.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on buildings and facilities.
• Assist in inspecting and monitoring energy management systems and emergency equipment to ensure operating conditions of the facility are at appropriate conditions.
• Completing work orders with written response on how the request was resolved.
• Inspection of buildings, equipment, and systems periodically to identify any issues.
• Performs general maintenance tasks, as assigned.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.
