Tri-Creek School Corporation in Lowell, IN, seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep school buildings, grounds, and equipment in safe, productive condition. The role is full-time, 260-day, with hourly pay based on the maintenance worker schedule.

Responsibilities include routine and preventive maintenance, repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, inspections, and timely responses to requests. You will work with staff to support operations and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trades.
• Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on district buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Complete general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related maintenance work.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Assist with maintaining outdoor areas including mowing, trimming, and snow and ice removal.
• Safely operate and maintain tools, equipment, and district vehicles.
• Maintain inventory of parts, materials, and supplies needed for maintenance work.
• Assist with moving furniture, event setup, and other operational needs as required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work performed.
• Follow all safety procedures and comply with applicable health and safety regulations.
• Respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed, including after-hours when required.
• Work cooperatively with administration, custodial staff, and other employees to maintain facilities.
