Job summary

State of Connecticut, through the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), is recruiting for a full-time Lead Custodian at Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, CT. The role focuses on supervising a custodial crew, maintaining a safe and clean learning environment, and coordinating daily operations.

The Lead Custodian will guide and support a team, participate in training and evaluations, and collaborate with school staff to uphold facility standards.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in work that could provide the listed knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Experience leading a crew of custodians in a school or commercial building is preferred.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and repair custodial equipment and perform related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Plan crew workflow and priorities.
• Schedule, assign, oversee, and review work.
• Establish and maintain crew procedures and safety standards.
• Provide staff training and assistance; conduct evaluations.
• Coordinate with school personnel and outside partners for operations.
