Job summary

Bennington-Rutland Supervisory Union Equinox Valley Middle School is seeking a full-time Facility Support Specialist to maintain the school facilities and grounds for safe, clean, and efficient operation. The role covers custodial work, cleaning, and routine maintenance in accordance with district and OSHA standards.

The position follows a 12:00pm–8:00pm schedule when students are in session and 7:00am–3:00pm when the building is empty, with pay in the $18.50–$20.50 per hour range based on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of building and grounds maintenance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform duties without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the school facilities and grounds in operating condition.
• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance tasks as scheduled.
• Follow district/school policies and OSHA standards for safety and upkeep.
• Work a split schedule: 12:00–20:00 during school term and 7:00–15:00 when empty.
