Barre City Elementary and Middle School in Barre, Vermont is seeking a 1st Shift Groundskeeper to maintain the school grounds year-round. The role involves mowing, field maintenance, and operating grounds equipment to support school operations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Previous experience with groundskeeping or related work helpful.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Mowing of grass, pruning, trimming, and raking of grass and leaves.
• Picking up outdoor trash daily.
• Sweeping or shoveling entrances and sidewalks as needed.
• Maintaining sports field mowing, seeding, and fertilizing.
• Perform maintenance of grounds care equipment.
• Assist with renovation projects.
• Operate school vehicles when needed.
• General cleaning and painting projects as required.
• When outside work is not possible, perform utility and/or custodial work.
