Job summary

Carbon County School District One in Wyoming is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead all maintenance and custodial operations across six schools and district facilities. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure safe, clean, and functional learning environments.

You will oversee building systems, plan preventative maintenance, coordinate with the Superintendent, and drive energy efficiency, while aligning with district goals and providing reliable facilities services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in building maintenance and custodial services, with at least three years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
• Experience in managing budgets and overseeing procurement processes, demonstrating financial responsibility and resourcefulness.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build rapport with staff, contractors, and district stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to collaboration.
• Proficiency in using computer software, including maintenance management systems, to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
