Job summary

The Antioch School District 34 is seeking a dedicated Custodian for Hillcrest Elementary School. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe and healthy environment to support student learning and community trust.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, snow removal, safety checks, and assisting with event setup. Must meet district standards and be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifting with help.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform general cleaning and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate directions in English.
• Willingness to work with custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate janitorial needs with head custodian.
• Perform cleaning: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitizing.
• Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Ensure building security and safety checks at end of shift.
• Follow safety practices and wear district uniforms as required.
