Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Weir, MS seeks an entry-level custodial team member for daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and common areas, with responsibilities including inventory control and seasonal deep cleaning.

The role may be Full-Time or Part-Time and requires a High School diploma or GED plus a valid MS driver’s license. Safety and routine facility inspections are essential to this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One year custodial or related work experience preferred.
• Must have scheduling flexibility to include availability to perform occasional emergency services outside of assigned work hours.
• Valid MS Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of classrooms, office, bathrooms, and common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and emptying trash.
• Maintain an inventory control of all cleaning supplies.
• Seasonal deep cleaning and maintenance of building interior and exterior (i.e. Floor waxing, carpet cleaning, pressure wash building).
• Ensure that safety and health procedures are followed as directed by established policies and procedures when storing and using chemicals, specifically, conduct daily walk-through of facility and playground areas to assure all potential dangerous/hazardous materials are removed and/or stored in locked cabinets or in secured storage areas separate from medications and foods and are accessible only to authorized staff; monitor facility and grounds for compliance as appropriate.
• Perform routine inspections and regular upkeep of interior and exterior areas to ensure areas are free of safety hazards, trash, weeds and other foreign materials.
• Perform regular upkeep of outside areas, including lawns, landscaped beds, play grounds and parking lots, to include weeding, trash and litter removal required to keep areas clean, neat and safe.
• Assist with moving office and classroom furniture, fixtures and equipment to support staffing changes, relocations, remodels, program expansion and custodial requirements.
