Job summary

Dayton Area School Consortium is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. Under supervision, you will maintain equipment, assist students, teachers and staff, and support accessibility and safety routines.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, hallways, restrooms, floors, walls and windows; setting up rooms for events; snow removal and grounds maintenance; receiving deliveries and distributing supplies while complying with safety

Qualifications

High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to perform duties.
Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
State Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

Check and secure building at beginning and end of shift for safety and cleanliness.
Clean rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, stairways and other areas according to district standards.
Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors.
Clean rugs, carpets, upholstery, and blinds.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
Clear snow from entrances and walks and spread de-icing materials.
Perform grounds-keeping duties and clear debris.
Receive deliveries and assist in unloading trucks and storing supplies.
