Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a dedicated Journey Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. Under supervision, you will ensure safety and cleanliness, secure buildings, and support activities during the winter break with paid time off.

The role involves varied shifts and responsibilities across classrooms, restrooms, corridors, and outdoor areas. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of custodial

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one year of full-time custodial experience.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to follow supervisor instructions and safety procedures.
Basic reading and math skills.

Responsibilities

Assists with routine maintenance of school and district buildings.
Checks and secures building at shift start/end for safety and cleanliness.
Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and other areas to district standards.
Maintains and sanitizes restrooms; refills dispensers as needed.
Mops or operates auto scrubber; extracts carpets; floor refinishing assistance.
Removes garbage and maintains building grounds.
