Job summary

Lexington County School District One seeks a full-time custodian for Rocky Creek Elementary School to maintain cleanliness and safety. Under supervision, you will perform housekeeping duties, clean classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, and ensure supplies and equipment are properly used and stored.

You will follow district policies, participate in trainings, and help prepare facilities for daily use and special events, with attention to energy-saving practices and reporting any equipment

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; or any combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Prior experience cleaning and maintaining buildings preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students.
• Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively.
• Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment.
• Maintains the cleanliness of assigned schools and facilities.
• Completes district-wide asbestos awareness training as required and participates in local facility asbestos awareness activities.
