Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sanitize surfaces and restrooms regularly to maintain health and safety standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and report or address minor repairs such as changing light bulbs, fixing door locks, or unclogging drains.
• Set up and arrange furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning supplies and equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with snow removal, lawn care, and other outdoor maintenance tasks during appropriate seasons.
• Respond promptly to emergency cleaning requests and spills to maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with school administration and maintenance teams to support facility operations and improvements.
