Job summary

Fulton County Schools is seeking a Building Custodian I - North Floater to support custodial maintenance across Roswell, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek facilities.

You will clean classrooms and common areas, operate floor care equipment, and assist with event setups to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming school environments for students and staff.

This role requires physical stamina and adherence to safety guidelines, with a team-oriented approach under the supervision of the head custodian.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning methods and proper use of supplies and equipment.
• Ability to operate cleaning and carpet equipment.
• Must understand and follow written and verbal directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains building and grounds in an acceptable condition.
• Cleans light fixtures, windows, walls, furniture, bleachers, blinds and stadium areas.
• Operates scrubbers, buffers, and waxing equipment for floors.
• Cleans, disinfects, and restocks restrooms.
• Prepares for and cleans up after events during the day or night.
• Moves furniture and equipment as directed by head custodian or principal.
• Maintains grounds appearance including shrubs, parking areas and drives.
• Responds to staff requests promptly.
• Performs minor repairs as needed.
