Job summary

Oconee County School District is seeking a dependable Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds. The role supports students, teachers and staff by keeping facilities in safe, clean condition throughout the day.

The ideal candidate can follow work orders, read and speak English fluently, and work with supervision to meet district cleaning standards. Candidates may assist with events and during vacations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in building cleaning/maintenance desirable.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure the building at start/end of shift.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, offices and other areas.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip and wax floors; clean glass and blinds.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for events and cleaning.
• Perform grounds-keeping duties and assist with deliveries and supplies.
