Job summary

West Ada School District is seeking a Custodian to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping in district facilities. Work hours are 8 hours per day with on-site duties at assigned schools.

The role requires following safety procedures and collaborating with staff to maintain a safe, clean learning environment. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, restroom sanitation, waste removal, basic repairs, and setting up spaces for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be able to read and follow written instructions.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Willingness to perform physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets; strip, wax floors and shampoo as scheduled.
• Dust and wipe surfaces, clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Maintain custodial supplies and report maintenance issues.
• Set up facilities for events and activities.
