Job summary

Regional School Unit #3 is seeking a School Custodian (MVC) to maintain district buildings and grounds, ensuring clean, safe, and well-maintained facilities for students and staff.

The position involves physical work, operating cleaning equipment, routine maintenance, snow removal, and assisting in daily operations as directed by the Lead Custodian and Operations Director or building principals. The role offers a pay range of $17.50 to $20.50 per hour, PTO, and 403(b) options.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to perform duties.
• Demonstrate good work relationships, work habits and personal hygiene.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of proper usage of custodial products and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read, reason and understand policies, procedures and related information and follow instructions.
• Lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Use basic hand tools and custodial equipment.
• Keep areas neat, clean, and ventilated at all times.
• Inspect facilities daily and report needed repairs.
• Lock and unlock buildings and maintain security when not in use.
