Job summary

The SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SUWANNEE COUNTY is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety and upkeep of facilities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and custodial experience or appropriate certificates as required by the district.

Responsibilities include sanitizing restrooms, cleaning windows and floors, managing supplies, and assisting with meeting setup. Beginning January 1, 2026, workers may be screened through the Clearinghouse as required by Florida law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in custodial work preferred.
• Certificate or license required by the District.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms and dressing rooms daily.
• Clean windows, ledges, furniture and equipment daily.
• Sweep, vacuum and mop floors in assigned areas daily.
• Empty trash and maintain custodial supplies inventory.
• Assist in setting up facilities for meetings and events.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks as assigned.
