The SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SUWANNEE COUNTY is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness, safety and upkeep of facilities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and custodial experience or appropriate certificates as required by the district.
Responsibilities include sanitizing restrooms, cleaning windows and floors, managing supplies, and assisting with meeting setup. Beginning January 1, 2026, workers may be screened through the Clearinghouse as required by Florida law.

SALARY: $34,068.00-$36,776.00 (or per the 2026-2027 Salary Schedule)

Proficient in the use of custodial equipment and cleaning chemicals. Knowledge of OSHA standards relating to assignment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to assume assigned responsibilities and work harmoniously with others. Ability to organize and prioritize.

Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan.
Applicant must hold appropriate certification or show evidence of appropriate certification eligibility for this position.
