Zusammenfassung

Waynesville Middle is seeking a Custodian to perform custodial and light groundskeeping duties across campus. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, strip and wax floors, clean restrooms, windows and fixtures, and maintain supplies.

The role reports to the Principal and requires a valid NC driver’s license and the ability to perform medium physical work. Experience in custodial work is expected; the position includes opening/closing duties, light on-site maintenance, and safety-conscious cleanliness

Qualifikationen

• Some experience in custodial work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
• General knowledge of standard janitorial methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to perform medium physical work and operate janitorial equipment.

Aufgaben

• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floor surfaces.
• Cleans restroom areas and replenishes paper supplies and soap as necessary.
• Cleans windows, walls, woodwork, blinds and light fixtures.
• Dusts and cleans desks and other furniture.
• Empties trash receptacles; deposits recyclable material in proper receptacles.
• Sweeps sidewalks and walkways outside of buildings; polices grounds, picks up debris; shovels snow and/or applies de-icing compounds to walkways and driveways as necessary.
• Replaces burned-out light bulbs.
• Prepares requisition forms to obtain necessary supplies for coming work week.
