The Nutley Board of Education is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and general maintenance in district school buildings and grounds under supervision to keep facilities safe and clean.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms, floors, restrooms, and offices, operating cleaning equipment, and assisting with deliveries and setup for events. The role requires reliability and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in building cleaning/maintenance desirable.
• Driver's license or own transportation.

Responsabilités

• Checks and secures building at the start and end of shift to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, offices and stairways per district standards.
• Operates cleaning equipment; sweeps, mops, waxes floors and maintains surfaces.
• Assists with supplies delivery and distribution to classrooms and offices.
• Performs grounds-keeping duties and snow removal as needed.
• Supports events by setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment.
