Job summary

Knowledge of cleaning, maintenance tasks, safety rules, and ability to work with students and staff is required. This role involves outdoor duties in varying weather and occasional travel between schools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or completion of sufficient education to successfully perform the duties of the position.
• Previous experience in building and cleaning maintenance desirable.
• [State] Motor Vehicle Operator's license or ability to provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Check and secure building at beginning and end of shift.
• Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, and other areas according to district standards.
• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors.
• Replace light bulbs and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Set up and break down chairs, tables and equipment in rooms.
• Receive deliveries and deliver supplies to classrooms and offices.
• Clear snow and spread sand or ice melt as required.
