Job summary

Tuba City Unified School District's Tuba City Junior High in Tuba City, Arizona is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across facilities. The position is non-exempt, 11-month, 40 hours per week, starting immediately.

Duties include cleaning, setup of cafeteria tables, inventory, assisting visitors, and reporting hazards. Requires high school diploma or GED, ability to operate custodial equipment, and ability to follow MSDS. Prior custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment.
• Ability to read and follow MSDS instructions.
• Preferred: One year of custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep facility clean and well-maintained.
• Set up cafeteria tables for breakfast and lunch and put away tables after use.
• Conduct basic inventory of cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Assist guests utilizing the facilities with directions and equipment.
• Maintain building security and safety, including closing windows and locking doors.
• Perform minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and heater/cooler maintenance.
• Report safety hazards and complete work orders as required.
