Qualifications

• High School diploma with five years of progressive supervisory experience in custodial/maintenance.
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a Certified Pool Operator's License.
• Familiarity with district computer systems.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Capacity to mediate conflict between staff.
• Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and safe handling of materials.
• Excellent customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate custodial staff at multiple campuses.
• Develop work schedules and coordinate workloads for custodial and maintenance staff.
• Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise custodial operations for facility events.
• Ensure records and reports regarding personnel are accurate; monitor time cards.
• Evaluate staff performance and participate in disciplinary processes.
• Assist with preliminary budgets for equipment purchases and expenditures.
• Inspect contractor work and ensure compliance with district standards.
• Communicate with staff, vendors, and administrators via forms, reports, memos, and emails.
