Job summary

Amergis, Jefferson, ME, is seeking an Education Technician (Ed Tech) 2 in a school setting to support behavioral and educational services for students with special needs. This contract-fulltime role pays $27 per hour and requires 35 hours per week.

The technician will collaborate with teachers and specialists to implement learning plans, monitor progress, and maintain a safe, supportive environment for learners with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The Behavior Technician works to facilitate educational and behavioral services with children and adults with special needs and collaborates with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to achieve learning and behavioral goals and objectives.
