Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, in English.
• One (1) year related experience.
• A valid Texas Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
• Inspect structures to identify obstructions and prevent weakening from pipe installation.
• Locate and mark position of pipe and openings for pipes in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings; cut and thread pipe.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes of metals and nonmetals.
• Join pipes by screws, bolts, fittings, solder, solvent, and caulk joints.
• Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, and clearing drains.
• Promote safety, health, and confidentiality; drive district vehicles as needed.
