Augusta School Department is seeking a payroll professional to handle end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments. The role involves preparing MEPers, life insurance, federal/state reports and wage statements, managing deductions, and staying current with payroll regulations and retirement rules.

The position offers a full-time schedule (40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year) with 13 paid holidays and vacation based on experience. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsabilidades

• Gathers, prepares and processes payroll for the Augusta School Department
• Prepares and submits MEPers reports, life insurance reports and quarterly federal/state reports
• Calculates and maintains deductions, taxes, verifications of employment and wage statements
• Handles W-2s, garnishments, dues and other withholdings
• Provides information to auditors and updates pay averaging calculations
• Ensures compliance with regulations and retirement rules
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
