New Albany-Plain Local Schools is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to oversee payroll processing and benefits administration for district staff. You will manage FMLA leave processes, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and provide timely, accurate payroll services with strong customer support to employees and supervisors.

The role requires an associate degree in finance or accounting and 3 years of related experience, with strong Excel/Word skills and a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3 years experience in finance, accounting ideally in a school setting or related field.
• Intermediate or above skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated experience administering FMLA and other employee leave programs.

Responsabilités

• Maintains confidential payroll files for all district employees.
• Processes payroll deviation reports and time sheets and enrollment forms timely.
• Collects and maintains leave forms and documentation for various absences.
• Computes pay for classified and certified staff and prepares checks.
• Prepares payroll-related reports for IRS, state and local agencies.
