Job summary

Comal ISD Technology in New Braunfels, Texas is seeking a Network Engineer to administer and operate the district’s wired and wireless networks, firewall, and related appliances. Immediate starting date with ongoing upgrades and documentation responsibilities.

The role requires two years of experience with mission-critical networks, LAN/WAN design, and Linux/Windows Server environments. Valid Texas license and related certifications are preferred, with a full-time, on-site work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; two- or four-year degree preferred.
• Certifications such as A+, Network+, Linux+, Security+; CCNA/CCNP/CCSP preferred.
• Valid Texas driver’s license; minimum two years on mission-critical networks and servers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve network hardware and software issues including maintenance and upgrades.
• Plan, design, install, test, maintain and document network equipment and implementations.
• Maintain network security with firewall(s) and security software; monitor unauthorized access.
